OZ1RDP - activity 2005
Pictures and Activities

Unfortunally this year there was no photo of the group.

Participants:
Micha (DB1MV), Jutta (swl), Klaus (DC4NA), Tobi (DL4KBS), Rüdiger (DO1ERS), Norbert (swl), Matze (DL9BQ), Günni (DL9BCP)

Jürgen (DC5WT) came over from Sylt (EU-042) for a visit.

3.
peculiaritiy

- The hard work to mount the 2-ele-Beam for 40m at least was not ended by success. During receiving the Beam showed only a few beam-direction. Working the station with >150W  HF-power, the SWR slowly drifted off. For turning the antenna, "Armstrong" was used, a rotor more surely had become to much weight within mounting antenna and tower.
- Nearly all Connections on 40m were made with the double-zeppelin.

4. others

Of course we got rain during the weekend!

Due to the last-years DX-contacts (VK, ZL) with a simple triple leg groundplane, this year again a DX-antenna should be used. The Bremer Funkergilde
is owner of a 2-element-monobandbeam for the 40m-band from HyGain. Together with the Aluminium-stick-tower  the beam overlooked the trees
arround - let's go. With the help of a car the tower was mounted slowly.

For turning the antenna, "Armstrong" was used, a rotor more surely had become to much weight within mounting antenna and tower.
Working the station with >150W  HF-power, the SWR slowly drifted off. So at least most radio-contacts were made with the double-zeppelin antenna, which was put up between flagg-tower and lightning mast. This work we made twice: the first and last time!

Effective and fast Matze works to mount the Moxon-Beam with the slide-tower.

After a very short span of time the antenna is ready to run.                    Good to see: radiator above, reflector below.
